A pen is made for writing. Generally, though, that means writing on paper, not on your clothes. Yet sometimes accidents do happen. Whether from a leaked ballpoint pen or some misplaced doodles, clothes covered in ink aren’t always the best look.
An old myth is that hairspray is the perfect tool for ink stain removal. Yet there is another way that doesn’t involve experimenting – and Ariel knows that way. Watch our step by step guide on how to remove ink stains from clothing, or read the instructions below.
Removing ink stains
1
Prepare a Soaking Solution
Next, pre-treat the ink stained garment. Fill a sink or bucket with warm water and add half a scoop of Ariel Automatic Powder. Mix the solution by hand until the detergent is completely dissolved.
2
Soak
Add your ink stained garments to the solution and leave to soak for an hour. If the stained garment keeps floating to the top, place a white towel on top of it to keep it fully immersed in the soaking solution.
3
Preparing for wash
Gently wring out the excess water before adding it to your wash with similar items.
4
Dose
Add detergent based on the instructions on your pack.
5
Wash
Load your garment into the washing machine with other, similar items and wash on your usual cycle, at the highest temperature shown on the care label.
6
Unload
After the wash cycle is complete, unload the garments immediately.
